Update! Milwaukee Conference Postponement

AMM and WFM recently made the difficult decision to postpone the Museums Evolving AMM-WFM Joint Conference in Milwaukee for the safety and well-being of our host community and our members. We have decided to shift Museums Evolving to July 2021. Specific dates will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

First and foremost:

We and our partners, host institutions, and committees are still committed to offering a great in-person experience in Milwaukee in 2021! We anticipate that the program will include most, if not all, of the events, sessions, and speakers that our committee had previously planned. And in keeping with our Museums Evolving theme, we will also be adding programming that reflects on our current climate.

Opportunities to connect in 2020:

Even though the conference is moving to next year, AMM and WFM still plan to connect with our respective members in new or unique ways:

  • AMM plans to host its annual business meeting virtually on Thursday, July 23rd. We will share our program for this event, including this year’s board candidates, in the coming weeks.
  • The Call for 2020 AMM Award Nominations is still open, and we look forward to announcing plans for this year’s awards program soon.
  • The WFM Annual Business Meeting will take place virtually in November 2020. Dates and program information will be announced at a later date.

We also plan to offer programming and opportunities to connect with Milwaukee museums around our increasingly relevant theme – Museums Evolving – as we countdown to the new 2021 conference dates.

Please check AMM and WFM websites regularly for updates. Visit our FAQ page for answers to questions about the program, registration, exhibit space, and more.

Thank you for your patience, loyalty, and support!
